Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: Ashton Lever settled in Maryland in 1775, along with James; Adam, James, John, Lawrence, and William Lever all arrived in Philadelphia between 1840 and 1860; Michael Laver arrived in Philadelphia in 1751. and others.
It is interesting to note that the Lever of Liverpool are owners of a big detergent factories/business (to wash clothes), under the name of Lever PERSIL, which is a national monopolio.
